Bought the tag last sunday and walked for miles monday looking for sign. More wolf and yote tracks than deer. Walked more miles tuesday morning. Tuesday afternoon I decided to sit by a funnel. Sitting by 2pm and it was minus 20 + windchill. At 3pm heard something coming up behind the trees at my back. Turned and 30 feet away stood a nice spike buck who also saw me. It tore off behind a grove of willows and ran out into an opening and stopped. Wait theres 2 bucks standing looking back at me. Bang! pics tell the rest. sweet thing is it was accessible with the tractor!! No dragging. Its alread cut wrapped and in the freezer by 12 last night. 4X4 or for the easterers an 8 point.
