Anyone else into slingshots? Hunt/pest control with them? Target shoot? Tinker with them or build your own?

I usually have one handy. I use peanuts or acorns in the garage to shoot mice.

I'll also pop the odd rabbit or squirrel with one while out cutting the grass.

I have to admit; Pretty much certain I want one. A simple, rugged, reliable slingshot? Yes please.

I bought the Pocket Hunter from Dave Canterbury but haven't tried it out yet. I love how he showed you how to make ones before he ever sold them. It has been said that the black bands in the kit came from spearguns, one could try that or maybe Therabands; all the marketed Walmart type slingshot bands such compared to what was sold when we were kids.
