I'm a Surefire whore, I'm running an X300 on my pistols and a M952V on my AR15...

What about you? What brands are you loyal to?

Surefire xm951 on my AR, did it just to complete the m4 look, I really have no need for a weapon light. If I need to see where I'm shooting in the dark, the first shot shall give me enough flash to see where I need to put the second ;)

So far the sun has done a good job for me. ;)

I will be looking into mounting a light on my Shotgun this bear season though.

Hiking out of a bait site in total darkness is not alot of fun worrying about holding a flashlight. LOL

Yeah I agree, my pistol light is for home defense situations, if the need for that kind of force arises. The AR15 light was to complete an M4 clone build, but I also have it so I can use it on my M14 shorty should the need arise to take a shit at night in the bush...

Got a Novatac on my Fabarm 14" Martial SDASS pump
180
And Streamlight TLR-1s on my Springfield XD-9 (obviously not the gun in the picture)
181

On an unrelated note... how do you change the image size in posts? Anyone...?

I think if you use the built in image hosting it appears like that, but if you use an outside image hosting site like photobucket it appear normal size.

Haven't really played with the forum tool for uploading yet though.

Not my pics.

Slides on to any rail, turn it to the 9 or 6 o'clock position and it's locked on.

I'm a surefire junkie as well. X-300 on my H&K P30L, Raid M720V on my Swiss classic green, and an old 6p with a pressure switch on my shotty. Some pics have been posted on other threads.

I am not into brand snobbery, so instead of paying big bucks for a brand name, I check out EBAY for the latest/Greatest CREE bulb ( these days that would be the T6 putting out about 1600 lumens from a single 18650 battery) and pick out a few different EL Cheapo lights with a 1" body. Then I mount these lights into a quick release 1" scope ring, usually a Leupold QRW or else a UTG. My favorite light for my M4GRY Zombie hunter is one that cost me $20. This one has the CREE hi peformance bulb enhanced even further by a reflector at the front that bounces all the light back into a specially shaped head that concentrates the photons into a tight spot light type of fine beam. You can use the tight beam all alone as the aiming device.

This light also has a STROBE function, to blind and confuse the Zombies.
Ain't modern technology grand?

I shoot skunks at night, so the dog doesn't get sprayed. I used a stevens 305 shorty, and this...

Mind if I ask you guys how much a light, mount, and possibly a pressure switch are running these days ? I know that's a very broad question...just looking for a ball park on some of them.

How much disposable income do you have? hahaha
First off, what is your intended purpose? Do you need IR? Do you want a light that will peel paint or just one for room clearing and general 25m night shoots? From that we can give a pretty god idea of what would fit the bill.

Sticking with the surefire product, you could do a set up by buying all the parts separately for about $280, you could do it cheaper, but it would take a bit of searching for deals. Or if you feel like blowing a lot of cash, you can go with Surefire's M720V RAID WeaponLight for $800 before tax.

There are two new models of the X300... Ultra and Vampire, is this what you're referring to?

I have a massive Surefire order inbound, I can't wait to see some of their new stuff...

The Ultra is the 500 lumen version if I'm not mistaken.

I like my surefire, now if only I could get them to send me a new clip...

Just picked up this Surefire X300.... really liking how small and light it is. The XCR is a bit on the heavy side for a 5.56, so I try to keep the accessories as lightweight as possible. This X300 does a great job at that.

Necro-post...

On my Glock and Roni kits, I've had half decent success with these cheapo airsoft lights:

http://img.dxcdn.com/productimages/sku_234992_1.jpg

At 20 yards, they're still on target (the laser) - although I did have to disassemble and realign the laser diode myself. The light is good and bright too.

I have 2 AA maglights I attached a remote switch like this one too... don't really use them though:
