Accepting credit card payment is going to cost you. You have to pay for such a service.

I'd say go to Shopify for all your online shopping cart needs, but they're anti-gun. Frankly, you might have a hard time finding a service provider who isn't. Paypal is also anti-gun. In fact, most big banks and creditors are. So if this is important to you, you may need to do some research into which service provider is friendly to gun owners.

That said, as far as the site itself is concerned, have you considered a service like Square Space and the like? They're really simple to use. You can build a site in minutes. Integration of a payment system is probably available, but see above for caveat.

Have you purchased your domain name yet?

What do you need on your site? If its just pictures and descriptions it can be a simple HTML site.
You can use a web page editing program or write the code yourself. Here are a couple pages I wrote for things I wanted to sell.
You are welcome to use one as a template.

paypal may be anti-gun but ebay sure is hell not when it comes to older firearms. Peculiar how I can build a complete Garand (minus receiver) off ebay parts and they only accept paypal payments.

Just to clarify, I mentioned the anti-gun part because I figured that, as a proud gun owner who is tired of being vilified, perhaps you wouldn't want to support a large corporation who is not on your side. Even if one doesn't intend on selling guns or gun related stuff, one might be inclined to actively not support those who actively work against us.

It's just a thought. I understand that it might not be easy to find a gun-friendly host. But if you intend on going the EMT route, then it makes things slightly easier. And if the purpose of this site is basically a one-time online garage sale of sorts, then perhaps you don't really need a full featured website. But it would offer you some flexibility and opportunities if you intend on doing it on a permanent basis. You should use SquareSpace or the above-mentioned SquareUp to build yourself a simple page to display your goods and simply allow people to contact you by form or email. Alternatively, you could set up a WordPress type blog at Bluehost.com or Blacksun.ca for about $10/month. You have many options available.

depends on what you want.

I used to build Web Applications using JavaScript, DevExpress, C#, .Net, SQL database, IIS, etc.
The licensing is expensive and then there is the hosting cost.

If you can draw it on paper, I can build it. Not a big deal.
