Not sure how many people will see this in here, I may ask in General later:

If we could bring in Turkish made SxS guns (hammerless if that matters) with 12" barrels, would anyone be interested for them to come with _additional_ barrels? They need to be fitted to individual guns so it will be kits - the Turkish manufacturers are not quite capable of making easily swappable parts :/ Both longer and shorter are an option. What lengths would you guys want? (I was thinking 10" and 24") Chokes? Separate pistol grips? (With the understanding that if a pistol grip is installed _by you, you may be creating a restricted and potentially even a pistol with everything that it entails.) Other calibers? (Guns are in 12 ga - 20, 28 and 410 are a possibility for additional barrels)

Now the hard to estimate parts: I estimate about 550 CAD per gun and 250 per barrel. Delivery hopefully by fall. With the understanding that the manufacturer could slip up, or there could be a delay in transport - the way there usually is when someone puts hard numbers and dates down and invokes Murphy's law and with those numbers there's pretty much no profit margin.

Personally I have no interest in these, but there is a medium size contract for these being signed for a customer in Europe and we have an opportunity to tag on. If no interest, so be it, but I feel like we haven't had anything to fill the jw 2000 niche in a while so there may be interest... And it's always good to bounce ideas like this off other people, just in case I have not considered something.

$800-1050 might be a little tight for the moderated fun. But with a chicken head or pistol grip separately with it. But 12ga and a super short barrel and a long barrel, maybe. If you’re going possible restricted when outfitting, May as well go whole hog and as short a barrel as possible.

3” and 24” barrels with a shoulder stock and separate pistol grip says skeet by day, dragons breath by night…

From another Canadian seller of these 3 Turkish guns in 2016 -

MSRP is currently ballparked at $699 CAD ($532 USD) depending on model and is expected to be showing up on gun store shelves later this Spring.

I think that the Turks need to get on cloning a burgess surprise. In 12 20 and/or 410.

Actually exactly those. Same manufacturer. But that importer never brought any in and isn't going to. My understanding is they closed up shop...

We are reluctant to bring the pistol version in - it's a restricted pistol so can never be made NR, whereas the coach version is NR and has some flexibility...

Didn't realize their MSRP was going to be 700...

I have one of those - very weird how they pump... Doesn't Marstar (?) have a modern take on these (at least as far as folding goes) already? I'm trying to get one of my friends to buy one so we can do an old vs new comparison.

edit: looks like Marstar is just one of the dealers for this one revolutionarmory.com/product/wolverine-xp/

That wolverine is pretty cool too, but my interest in the Burgess is the weird pump action. I remember a few years ago Corwin Arms was discussing possibly getting one made in Turkey.
