have started my SKS spring offensive project today. have stripped the lil'beast down to the bare essentials . the stock has been sanded down but appears that 60+ years of cosmoline may have soaked through the wood. any suggestions as to what kind of primer i should use. the stock is going to painted in a agri-camo motif with spray lacquer. all suggestion are appreciated.

the possibilities are endless. i'm thinking that every farm equipment pilot can custom colour their firepower to suit the brand they prefer.:bananna:

That will blend in to the tractor cab and can be considered camo.

Gun rack on a lawnmower.....you might be a redneck if? Do you have some really aggressive lawn gnomes or something? All joking aside you did a really nice job on the gun. Looks great.
