Heed the red band trailer warning. R rated trailer for a thankfully R rated movie. It's not made for the teeners or preteens, like many recent horror movies.

No thread about the new evil dead movie?! Fixed!
I thinks I'll be venturing to the movie theatre for this one.

If the main character isn't going to cut off his hand and strap a chainsaw to it, I don't want to watch it.....

As much as I'll miss Bruce "The Chin", it still looks really good.

Double if the main character doesn't have a constant string of witty one liners when battling the dead.

Evil Dead v1 wasn't as witty as the second one, this one looks like it's trying to more more evil dead 1, then evil dead 2.
Groovy.

Ok, I loved the original trilogy, but hot damn, that looks delightfully sick, twisted and dark.

Perhaps, but Bruce Campbell was EPIC in this trilogy. lol

Gonna be a tough act to follow.

It was made with zero CGI so its going to be sick.

I've never watched the original movies. I figured the trailer wouldn't be that bad. But now it can't be unseen.

I've bought more versions of the original Sam Raimi versions on DVD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray than I care to admit. Have the Evil Dead 2 limited and numbered edition metal box, the screaming necromicon book versions, the true extended version of Army of Darkness, only available from Hong Kong, boomstick edition...

Army of Darkness was technically Evil Dead 3 and no, he had his chainsaw hand before that. He gets his chainsaw hand in Evil Dead 2.

He gets a mechanical hand in Army of Darkness, no more chainsaw hand.

Yes but that is still halfway through the movie if I'm not mistaken. He still starts out with one. Besides, he's remembered for the chainsaw hand, not the mechanical one :D
