    Tapatalk Issues

Only where there is little competition, especially for consumer software and independent professionals. M$ 365 has LibreOffice as competition and many use that (while still many pay M$). Adobe's creative suite doesn't have much competition for drawing and images/photos in the professional...

Yeah I get that. "Software as a service" with a monthly fee (or yearly) is a ripoff. But in many cases it has proven a successful business model for the developers. Personally I loathe it. Can't count the number of consumer software products I've passed on because they use that pricing model.

GOC in a web browser on a phone is just too small and cumbersome for me (my phone is a 5" model). On my tablet it is readable, but still cumbersome. Of course if GOC would install a mobile theme that would solve the problem. And if the theme is expensive I'm sure some of us would help to crowd...

    Tapatalk Issues

On the other hand, rush on my account lol. I use Tapatalk heavily. Though as was said before, if GOC installs a user selectable mobile theme (or simply upgrades to a responsive theme) that'd be a better solution. Something to consider for down the road.

There's nothing wrong with Tapatalk. This is a GOC issue.

Yeah it was down with GOC for me most of yesterday. Haven't tried it today. If GOC would get a mobile friendly forum theme (hint hint) that one could choose from then I could ditch Tapatalk.

That's what I see in Edge on Win 10 (desktop and mobile) too Mark. Works fine in FF.

Yeah there’s nothing to panic about folks. It’s just a good old fashioned expired certificate. If you to the “temporarily add exception” or similar you’ll be fine. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Man, to read GOC on the TV I’d need to crank the font up to 40 point. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

I agree Shoe, it seems to be ISP and/or location based. I’m in NS on Bell’s FibreOp. Used to have the issue where clicking like slowly refreshed the whole page. That has been gone for a while now. Only other issue is some photos just show as a generic icon placeholder. But that is exclusive to...

Complaints about the forum being slow

Ads generally don't bother me, but lately certain news web sites have become incredibly annoying. As you scroll down to read the article the page starts jumping as this and and that video is inserted into the DOM. It was just starting to reach peak annoying when you mentioned this addon. Lots...

Complaints about the forum being slow

Vbulletin and the other popular forum software are not web 2.0. However, like web 2.0, they generate HTML dynamically. Unlike web 2.0, they do it from the server rather than the client (via asynchronous requests to the server). I'd wager a little 2.0 has crept into Vbulletin, but not much...

Your Flickr image is 404. If I recall it had 3 or 4 CDNs all of which are important (unless you have a hate on for Tapatalk). I agree about Chrome though. It is essentially spyware and I wouldn't push it on anyone. Regardless, in 2018 Edge and up to date versions of FireFox, Chrome and Safari...

My best guess is that it is related to the server move to the LightSpeed platform. Not proven technology in that it does not have market saturation and usage history even close to IIS let alone Apache or NGINX.
