    How can we help GOC?

Because there's a pretty good chance those 500 guests are actually the ones keeping the lights on. Random people find a GOC post by searching Google about a topic they're searching for, find the information they're looking for, click a link on the ad-banner, and convert a sale for one of the...

    How can we help GOC?

Not a criticism, but it's been pretty apparent GOC's been having issues. If I could wager a guess, I'd say the amount of traffic being generated on the site isn't producing enough ad-revenue to justify the capital investment needed to resolve some of the technical issues the site has been...

Sterling R18 Shipment Just in! Now with trigger tech triggers!

Some more fun with the Sterling tonight. The bullseyes I pretty much shot back to back. Not too much of a spread with a hot barrel. I was also banging the gongs, pretty much back to back. I think it's a medium contour barrel, and it performed like a champ with 50 rounds fired in pretty...

Sterling R18 Shipment Just in! Now with trigger tech triggers!

I had not. JR had one at the Easter Gun show, I dry fired it, loved the ergonomics to it, and decided to buy one. I trust TSE/Sterling will support the product if I have any issues and I've had a hoot running 150 rounds through it in 2 range sesh's. Once I get it broken in, I'll report back more.

Sterling R18 Shipment Just in! Now with trigger tech triggers!

It definitely is a "tax" in the sense that it's an indirect tax imposed on consumers by the government, forcing producers to incur unnecessary costs to comply with asinine government regulations that in turn have to be passed on to their customers. One other way to look at it is that without...

Sterling R18 Shipment Just in! Now with trigger tech triggers!

Guess you don't like doing double taps, controlled pairs or tracing your bullet down range. To each his own. I think of it as investing in and supporting Canadian businesses that take an even greater risk bring products like this to the Canadian market. As consumers, we vote with our...

Sterling R18 Shipment Just in! Now with trigger tech triggers!

Handled one at the Easter show. It's sweet. I was really impressed with the muzzle brake and that trigger tech trigger. I'll probably sell some silver to pick one up... How fitting... selling some silver bullion to pickup a Sterling rifle.

    How To Post An Attachment

I'm usually posting on here while half listening to stupid meetings at work that make me want to through my work laptop against a wall... (I'm pretty sure Awndray was doing the same thing... which is why I feel really bad for him) Really what you read here is me venting about my work, without...

    Hi all.

Welcome! It's good to meet someone from Quebec! A lot of us are from Western Canada (and a few peppered around the country). I'm not sure who else here is from Quebec... I'd like to apologize in advance for any Quebec bashing that goes on... it's directed to the rabid Montreal anti-gun...

newbie with pal, was embarrassed to talk at gun shop

There's another dimension to reloading nobody mentions but everyone thinks about... the usefulness of reloading as a skill in the event of TEOTWAWKI... which for those of us who have been into guns and reloading for a while... has just happened. The idea being if there was every a truly...

For me to reload .223, I bought most of my components 5-10 years ago when you could get primers for $2/100, bullets for $0.09, and powder for $20/lbs. Components keep indefinitely if you store them somewhat properly, so does ammo... So for me to load 1000 rounds of .223, what I paid for my...

I've heard 6.5 CM gives better long range ballistics and less felt recoil than a .308, but a 6.5 typically runs smaller bullets - which means less killing power and less of a "ping" on steel. I also almost NEVER find 6.5 CM brass on the range - my guess is everyone who shots it reloads it...

Welcome to the forum and the sport. I'll add a general nugget of info that applies with EVERY discipline of shooting you get into: Whatever your budget is, buy the most inexpensive gun you can to do the kind of shooting you want to, and spend the bulk of your money on ammo and practice. I'm...
