Question for YOU RangeBob: What kind of weird voodoo do you employ to display youtube video links as actual links, rather than as videos? Sometimes I just want to put a link to a video, without the actual video appearing, and everything I've tried still results in the forum showing the video...

Why are we not allowed to embed HTML in certain forums, such as Off Topics, Prepping, and a few others? Given how tweets and social media posts make up an ever growing part of the news and discussions, it's a real PIA not being able to include them.

Since this is a "gun forum," perhaps the whole "Lifestyle" section and anything else not directly firearms related should be "members only" or "controlled access" in the way the Off Topics forum is?

Would moving more of the site to "members only" alleviate these problems? One (of the many reasons) I avoid CGN is precisely because those sections are not searchable, meaning it's almost impossible to use as a reference... much like I use GOC ;)

Several other sites have blocked visitors based on location. The CCFR and Marstar sites are two that come to mind.
