If you are of average intelligence you will pass without practice tests. The course material is straight forward and easy to understand. Just pay attention.
I have one one each vehicle, one on my reloading bench, and one on my safe. My camper will soon be sporting one as well.

Where are you from? I think the best way to learn about the differences is a hands on approach. I'm sure there are a few members here who would be happy to get together and help you.

I for one do not hunt. I'm not opposed to hunting either. I would like a thermal sight for camp protection though. Even with NV a predator can be obscured by light brush or fog. A thermal system would excel in those conditions.
Last time I was there I was looking for a Rem 700. Boy did I find one......but that wasn't enough, so I got a slick chassis, QR scope mount, and bipod for it too.Damn impulse shopping!
