You'd be quite surprised how many "daily" meds are sourced off-shore. Something to think about if this current virus ever decides to truly kick into high gear.

check your meds and see if you have renewals marked on the label, if so, you can get as much as renewals allow, I get 90 days but have a single renewal so I can actually get 180 days if I'd like, you don't have to wait until you're out to renew and I stock up on 81mg when coop has them bogo

Bought a roll of Wint-O-Green Life Savers.
Triboluminescence is an optical phenomenon in which light is generated when material is subject to mechanical breaking, especially noticeable when crushing Wint-O-Green Life Savers in the dark. When sugar crystals are crushed, tiny electrical fields are created, separating positive and negative charges that then create sparks while trying to reunite. Wint-O-Green Life Savers work especially well for creating such sparks, because wintergreen oil (methyl salicylate) is fluorescent and converts ultraviolet light into blue light.

    EDIT: ate them. Nevermind.

Didn't take long for the shelves to empty! A major incident would have cleared them even faster.

This is another lesson on just how fragile our JIT supply chain is. Yes, the stores no longer have to warehouse huge volumes of items, nor worry about products going out of date but just as easily....one cricket fart and the whole house of cards comes down.
Good time to clean out that space under your stairwell and make a pantry folks.

To put a little temper on the pic, they were bringing some stuff out when I was leaving. On top of a bunch of other stuff, I got some canned green beans.

Today's prep was to finish jamming the downstairs deep freezer completely full. Mission accomplished. I had to leave a couple of frozen water bottles out that I keep in there for coolers because there just isnt room.

I also grabbed a bunch more dry and canned goods....instant mashed potatoes, canned chili, chunky beef soup (Alpo) lol. Got some more dishwasher pods and laundry soap too. I hate doing dishes and we dont need to be creative about getting the laundry done.

All said and done, I dropped around a grand over the past week, but Im feeling pretty good about the stash.

Where I live with the dense population, if anything happened that spooked people. The stores would be ransacked clean in 3 hours.

Every storm forecast has me avoiding the grocery stores the day before.
