What did you do to prepare today ?

I can't believe we haven't had one of these threads yet. Maybe we did and I forgot about it.

So, what did you do to prepare today ?

I found a really good price on sugar...4kg bags for $3.88 at No Frills. I can't remember it that cheap for a while, so I bought 12 bags - 48kg or 105.6 lbs
The last 20kg bag I bought lasted the family just over a year, so this should keep us going until the next sale.

Looks like you have to hit up the Bulk Barn for some corn meal, yeast, and malt.

I ordered some thrive food from costco to tuck away for a rainy day. Just the starter pack of veggies and fruit so nothing too extreme yet, but it's a start.

Sanitized water jugs, Rotated and Refreshed my water supply. Hunted last weekend, butchering this week.
Unhappy is the fate of one who tries to win his battles and succeed in his attacks without cultivating the spirit of enterprise, for the result is waste of time and general stagnation.

Thank you !!! I keep meaning to switch out my stash in the basement...I'll do it tomorrow.

I wanted to make chicken for dinner...frozen.....wanted to make tacos....wife shot that one down.....wanted to make bacon and eggs...only had 5 eggs for 4 of us.....said to hell with all of you...I'm making pancakes. Sure enough, we're out of syrup. That was it....time to stock up even more. I grabbed junior and off we went. I think I've put $500 into groceries in the past few days. Bought 2 more cans of coffee, 2 GALLONS of pancake syrup (yea, we always seem to be out of it on the rare occasion that I'm the one who actually wants to eat pancakes, and quite frankly, it pi==es me off ! LOL !). More pancake mix-the add water only kind....another drum of hot chocolate, a couple of jars of jam, 8 loafs of bread, another 8 Hungry Man frozen dinners (on sale for half price). My pantry is almost full, both freezers, the fridge, and all the cupboards are now jammed with food and drinks. All ready to hunker down for the winter zombie apocalypse. Aka: Christmas shopping season at any store, anywhere.
