Got it today. Pretty plain, no writing on it except 9mm on the base. Its beside a snap cap for comparison. It fits nicely in my cooey single shot, and ejects after, so i gota be careful not to let t go flying out and get it all scratched. It also cycles in my pump 500 with other shells, but gets caught on the ramp once and a while and need a push with the finger from underneath. Havnt got any 9mm ammo yet. The rifling is fairly weak. I think its this one I have, but its longer than they say it is, and it doesn't seem like they have it anymore. https://www.dinaarms.com/The_Dina_Adapter.php . Accuracy and firing report to follow.

Interesting, it's like having a tiny 9mm barrel inside your shotgun..

Is there any possibility of the bullet striking the inside of the barrel?

I was thinking that without rifling that may happen, but even so, i dont think the bullet could tumble enough before the end of the barrel to hit it. And the adapter is a tight fit so its nice and straight.

Comparable to a snub nose pistol perhaps?

Gave it a good test today. I zeroed my shotgun with slugs to 30 yards, and when I used the adapter, my shots were low. I wasnt about to re-zero my scope for it so i tried to hit my target by aiming up. Was not easy at all. I mean , it was fun and all but just not my slice of cake. unloading was a bit of a pain. the casing was tight in there after taking the shot. It didnt hit the inside of the barrel at all.

All in all, its fun for shi*s and giggles and perhaps some short range hunting. But be prepared to have a dedicated zero for it, and patience. I cant really speak to its accuracy, but it seemed to group around 5 inches (3 shots) at 30 yards. Thats with a red dot so nothing too accurate. Im selling it as its just not as much fun as I thought it would be. mabe if I had 5 to cycle in my pump. defs a cheap alternative to slugs or buckshot though.

Looks like something I should look into making. A small rifling machine wouldn't be THAT much of a problem to make...boring and rifling 20"+ barrels is a whole different ball game. Hummmm....so many projects, so little time. LOL. Any chance of getting a better pic of the inside of that puppy VancouverSkiBum ?

Sure thing, here ya go! Best I could do with my camera. I'd be happy to be your "Tester"!

1st ring going in is a rubber seal to keep the cartridge in place

I saw a model where they had cut a groove in the front, and made it so the ejector in a single shot would eject the cartridge, not the entire adapter. I would imagine they didn't include the o-ring so cycling in a pump could be an issue. With the one pictured above, you have to use a stick to push out the empty cartridge. I would rather it have a notch for ejection though.

    I've bought from this guy:

    http://www.gunadapters.com/

He sends to canada, seems like a good product. He sells some longer adapters too that are a little more accurate. I still have the 12-20's which i use for teaching younger or female shooters and first timers. Like you say, fun and all but seriously if i want to shoot pistol rounds i reach for the JR.
