Just in case nobody knows, the RPD is coming to canada

Armseast has pre-orders for semi-auto belt-fed RPD's from DS Arms in 7.62x39. No cost to pre-order either

Seriously though, thanks for the update Claven2, is there any more word from Sask Gun Works about this? They kinda got the ball rolling didn't they?

I would be more convinced if their ad did not sound like it was straight out of a Gunsn'Ammo classified. Who cares if it has BATFE approval? They are American. The same with the 922R parts compliance. Those requirements are not not Canadian applicable. I would jump on a non-restricted belt fed RPD but until I see them legally in country it is still just wishful thinking.

Welcome to GOC btw!!! Your complexion looks..... how do I say... not so flush here haha.

Back on topic, DSA has 3 versions of this gun now. 1 non-restricted, 2 restricted. Can't get the pics to transfer over from the DSA sight. The new restricted version is a short barrel with the original wood style.

Except a pistol version of the FAL is not readily available to us here in Canada. So even if the did do that for you, the mags would be prohib on their own anyways.

There is a lot of speculation about when they will arrive. Armseast claims February 2014, but I'll believe it when I see it. Either way, I pre-prdered on Day 1 to ensure I get in on the first shipment. These will likely not be an infinite supply as DSA is limited by the number of Polish de-milled RPD kits they can lay hands on.
