bahahahaha i already have gotten those kids trained maybe one day i should show em this video so that they know what they are singing. thanks for the link

i think they are going to be more pets than eating chickens....under all that fluff they are about the size of a pigeon. the eggs are awesome though. they are like quail egg size. i just hope i don't get a rooster by accident, because then it's being shipped off to quesnel. i'm not allowed to have a rooster

Well, worst case just take a bottle of "Nair" to 'em and tell the authorities it's a hairless 'sphinx' cat. Seriously - it'll freak 'em out so much i doubt they'll even question it

bahahhahahaah, nah it's not the authorities. the friend who will be keeping the chicks after they are too big for my tupperware bin says "no roosters in the hen house"...we wanna be able to visit our chickens on a regular basis plus we are kindof hoping to make psyanky out of these itty bitty eggs next year if these chickens survive

Love my chickens... keeps me going.
and the turkeys. I have eggs I've been collecting to set under the hens... hoping for three dozen set, so fingers crossed at least a half of them raised to butcher time!
geese are coming back to the funny farm here this year (lost my whole flock a couple years ago to four different coyote packs. they all came in at the same damn time, in complete co-operation, and took 15 without waking a single one. I was beyond sad. hundreds and hundreds of dollars lost in that little covert operation)

Ok - we placed our chick order on Saturday!

We have selected: a buff Polish ("Pom Pom Fluffhead Lovey"), a buff Orpington (no name picked yet), and a Rhode Island Red ("Henrietta")

Picking up our peeps on Good Friday! bahahahhaha We are going to have chicks for Easter!

How do you know the first one (PFL? People's Front for the Liberation of Judea?) is buff? Have you been feeding it steroids?
The second one, I like the name "Buff Orpington", very porn star.
