Never shot BDX but given the choice between generic factory or Centaure commercial reloads I take Centaure. Their 147 9mm is virtually identical to Federall 9mm BP but at half the price. If BDX shoots just as well if not better than generic factory you're getting a decent deal.

    That's $208/1000.

Last time I bought BDX it was $85/300 (9mm golden bullet) which is near exactly the same price for the factory new ammo I hyperlinked above.
I bought the 9mm bronze line and the price is honest, no BS.

No Centaure is a commercial reloader in Laval, Quebec. Technically he doesn't advertise. Police contracts keep him so busy he doesn't need alot of outside sales.

This is the only dealer I know of who ships his stuff : http://www.tradeexcanada.com/content...r-fmj-centaure

We ransom rested his 9mm 147 and his 38 SPL wadcutter vs Federal Match and you couldn't tell the difference. Other than the price. This is going back a few years but his rep is very solid.

Oh, OK thanks. Good to hear about another Canadian ammo (re)manufacturer.

    (When you can find it in-stock somewhere) they want $85/300 9mm. That's 28.3 cents/each.

You can find new, brand name 9mm right now for $280-$300/1000. That's 28-30 cents each. The same damn price.

The hilarious thing is that I just assumed the price for re-man'd ammo would be less, so I've always bought it without thinking about it. Now that I've done the math, it doesn't make any sense.
So the hilarious thing is laughing at yourself?
They sell a quality product at a price point you were comfortable with. Now a dealer is able to sell 9mm "new" from a source. It may be a one time thing, long term contract longer than normally negotiated or the stars aligned for him and his website.

You're MAD at a company because YOU didn't do enough due diligence and have been using a great product because of it? And so what if it's reloaded. Their QA/QC May be better than some new manufacture, and it's not lot all new manufacture runs great in all guns.

How many threads do you start ranting based on perceived sleights against the consumer (you) that at most likely just their business decisions? This is at least two in the short I've been here. Don't blame them for finding a price point they are comfortable with, and not telling you that a similar product is cheaper elsewhere. Hell, they might price match though....
