    American Eagle Tactical .223

Anyone shooting this stuff? Good? Bad? Otherwise?

At 40 cents for a 55 grain bullet is it at least a decent range round for a Norc M4?

    Thanks!
Don't blame me, I didn't vote for 'em.

I can't speak on these in particular but I can say that every other American Eagle product I have bought has been surprisingly good.....
It's no fun punning with a Kleptomaniac... they keep taking things, literally.

I bought a can of it, it's gone bang every time. One guy at the range today had a couple where the primer was obviously hit but it did not go bang, not sure if it was the firing pin not getting deep enough or what.
What? I can have a SIGNATURE?

I shoot it out of my Stag and I get decent accuracy. The "Tactical" tag is because they have harder primers, and are specifically intended for AR style rifles, in case anyone was wondering.

Some of the A/E .223 with Lake City brass has primer pockets so far off center that when the pin hits the primer it misses the anvil and there is a FTF.

I've shot just over 400 round of it now. No problems, feeds ok, gone "bang" every time.
    Still just out of range.
    Just in range. (18/02/2012)

Down here AE is among the cheapest factory loaded brass cased round I can find, I shoot quite a bit through my ARs and have no issues.

It's a little on the hot side too at 3000 fps, a fellow at the club had his chronograph and ran a few threw.
