I see the polymer 80 glock compact frames are available for import to Canada again. How exactly does that work for Canadian customers with the unfinished lowers? Is it the same process as all other restricted firearms? I thought these 80 % lowers were now prohibited?
The 80% AR pattern rifle lowers are prohibited but the 80% pistol frames never were prohibited. The new classification is "restricted" and you now must provide us with a valid RPAL before purchasing. Its treated much like ammo, where we validate your license before we can process your order.
Because the frames are 80% finished, they do not have a serial number so they do not need to be registered and transferred to you at the time of the sale.
As the owner and builder of the firearm, you would need to contact your local CFO once you are ready to apply the serial number and they will provide you with the protocol for serializing and registration. This is the reason you need the RPAL to purchase the 80% frame. It is expected you will build the firearm and will then be in possession of a restricted firearm which will need to be registered with the RCMP.
Hope this helps.

Great, thanks for the info!
Thanks so much for all your feedback. It is my task to respond to emails daily and some days they stack up on me. We are a small company and we all wear multiple hats.
Its true our email response time lags a bit during import time as we believe its priority to get everyone's order out as quickly as possible.
It is not our intention to displease any customer so if we haven't responded in a timely manner to your request, please do not hesitate to email a second request.
