Some random thoughts over coffee...and where to find...

...those dandy rubber loop jobs (magpuls?) you put on the bottom of your 5.56 mags so it doesn't take half a day to get them out of the mag pouches on your tac vest?
I found some on Fleabay but they end up costing almost $10 each with exchange and shipping...seems a little steep to me for a glorified rubber band...or is that the going rate?
This 5 round mag limit garbage makes it even more of an issue, I don't know how you folks stand it!
The 5 in a mag limit has never struck me that hard, hunting and shooting old school. I don't often touch off more than 1 at a time unless I'm at the bench...or trying a yote that's likely too far away...even then it's not often I spend a third round. If the dog isn't down by then there's not much point usually as he's likely gettin farther away.

Being a six shooter, lever gun type I need an education and I know there are lots of folks here into that end of things.
Might as well enjoy as much shooting as I can. Who knows, maybe one day I'll step up from the Mini's and get a real black rifle.
I'm really hoping the AR/mag limit issue gets resolved in our favor...I feel your pain, especially competition wise. Folks must spend almost as much time doin mag swaps as shooting. Has to be frustrating as Hell.

Anyway...enough rambling. There's a question back there somewhere, if anyone has an answer I'd be obliged.

If you don't want to buy the magpuls and your pouches are too deep, maybe put some styrofoam blocks at the bottom of your pouches to lift your mags up a bit so they're easier to grab?

Look for airsoft knock offs from Japan. Cheap and they work perfectly.

the only airsoft ones I could find were almost as much...

$3 1/2 is more like it though, thanks Ben

I also learned that the pros use paracord and duct tape, so my idea of a piece of 1" nylon and electrical tape might be fine.

The milspec term for this I believe is "gun tape" and it's OD.

    Cheers!
