    Isn't the base convex, when it should be concave (like a propane tank).

    For noise makers, sure, but I don't think they're thick enough for a projectile?

    Or a movie's special effects cannon. That blows dirt up into the air as the good guy runs between explosions.

    I have a few more barrel blanks made up, I really need to get off my ass and finish them.
    Not real keen on building the carriages though.

    If you want something for super fun at the cottage I'd recommend a 37mm launcher! You can make up super fun stuff, especially if you have your Fireworks Level 2 permit or pyrotechnics license!
