C-42 to become law June 18th.

Mods, probably wrong section as there is no link, but I just talked to my MP who is Blaney's parliamentary secretary who told me it looks like C-42 will receive Royal Assent on Thursday June 18th.

A donation of $42.42 will follow from me!

So does this mean we can park at Canadian tire and hockey rinks with guns in our trunks then?

Yes, another 42 cent themed donation will follow from my wallet. Maybe one to Blaney too?

We are coordinating to donate to:

PRIORITY 1 - Key battleground ridings

Why? Your funds are 100% DIRECTLY USED IN THE BATTLEGROUNDS. They aren't filtered or siphoned off by somebody in Ottawa - only 10% of your donations is passed on from the central party

All these MPs and candidates support gun owners, are gun owners and/or fight for gun owners.

    DONATE to Ajax-Pickering - Chris Alexander - http://apconservative.mytempwebsite2.ca/donate-now/

    DONATE to Port Moody-Coquitlam - Tim Laidler - http://www.timlaidler.ca/donate/

DONATE to Yukon - Ryan Leef - http://yukonconservative.ca/donate/

    DONATE to Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke - Shari Lukens - Email Bruce Tait - btait1@shaw.ca

Expanded list to come - please PM or email

    PRIORITY 2 - To the party - https://donate.conservative.ca

Your donation is key to ensuring that the Conservatives can continue to work hard for gun owners.

    • The Conservatives ended the long gun registry
    • The Conservatives have finally saved the Swiss Arms and the CZ rifles
    • The Conservatives have ended the Authorization to Transport Paperwork
    • The Conservatives have constructed the framework to de-prohbit and de-restrict named firearms.

No other party can claim to have done ANYTHING for Canadian gun owners

    Political Donation Tax Refund

Remember up to $400 you receive 75% back at the end of the year.

    • $42 = $31.50 refund at the end of the year = Only costs you $10.50
    • $100 = $75 refund at the end of the year = Only costs you $25
    • $200 = $150 refund at the end of the year = Only costs you $50
    • $400 = $300 refund at the end of the year = Only cost you $100

You can donate up to $1,500 to both the party and to your local riding association
[I think ctcs is a BC EDA person]

    Thought:
What if we all wait until the day it receives Royal Assent to send our "42" themed donation?

If they got a crap load of donations with "42" in them on the same day as RA, it might send a strong message.

    Thought 2:
How long after Royal Assent will we see the NFA's press release taking credit for it?

Did I just go there? Yes. Yes I did.

Shawn Bevins is already taking credit for it on his "Gunnies Spot" Facebook group.

One fella on CGN is arguing he will wait until he can go hunting with his Swiss Arms. That's the moment for him -- when the Bill has its first freedom effect. Then he will donate.

The NFA will be along shortly and there will be a lot of chest thumping and back and forth "Nuh-uh, we're the ones you should be thanking," from both sides. Glad to have distanced myself from everyone involved in that gong show.

But back on track, yes, a 42-themed donation will be heading to the CPC as soon as it's signed into law. And another will follow when they pass another law making life easier for all of us.
    I like guns.

    So what has actually changed?

Its not like you can just go buy a restricted rifle and take it home that day, a transfer will still need to be done through RCMP. So really, whats changed? I dont mean to sound condescending Im just not informed.
