And in more than one way - he can go to experts and say "uhhh -these guys disagree with you". Or he can just say 'i don't care what you think - poof! magic wand - it's a non-restricted now".

Just another reason (not that we need any more) to return the CPC with a majority.....just to watch Blaney castrate the horseyboys...........slowly!

Donate to both the CPC and Blaney... they send you such nice thank-you notes.

Too bad a) the limit is $1500 and b) the max refund is 43% or $650

Oh well - I don't donate just for the refund...

They didn't do a heck of a lot with this majority. I wouldn't expect too much more if they won another one. Canadians are so easy to please. Just the crumbs will do, thank-you very much!

This very week for the first time in our history after many decades of having a 'class' system, the RCMP banned a new gun based on looks and the gov't challenged them and it will be unbanned one way or another.

Crumbs he says. The registry dead, the police and cfo's severely reigned back and their power slashed. A few more 'crumbs' like that and we'll have what we want. There's a fine line between being an honest critic and an ungrateful bum. You want to make sure you're on the right side of that line, or the cpc may not be interested in giving us anything, crumbs or otherwise.

You know the cpc could of did nothing, and people would still say we have to give them a majority because the status quo is better than lib/ndp

lgr going bye bye was a slice of bread to me though. A win for privacy too.

Well they'd be right - for a while. We'd continue to keep pressuring them and working on them, and if the day came that they just couldn't be budged ever and we had to accept that, then yeah - we take them out. They get a new leader and we play a role in that process, and we take our lumps from the ndp. Which would be horrible, and likely take us years to undue, but may be necessary if it came to that.

But - THAT IS THE NUCLEAR OPTION. That is NOT our GO TO position just because we felt we should have gotten more or the like. The LAST time we did that, we got c-68. Does everyone here not agree that was a bad thing? Keep that in mind.

but that's not the case. The CPC did a lot for us. Sure they could have done more, but we haven't really earned more to be honest. They spent the time on us that we earned. ANd they've shown they're willing to do more. Heck we didn't even have to write letters about the blaze-47 and blaney was in the cops' face about it.

We can debate if it was a little or a lot, but nobody can deny they did something FOR us, while the dips will do something TO us. It's a no brainer - we have to put them back in and with a majority.

True - but I don't think that people truly realize what a severe blow it was to the anti's. Their whole disarmament plan long term hinged on it. Without it, they are set back decades. It was a severe blow to them, one they may not fully recover from ever.

There is a reason the anti's are in the media right now crying about how we've 'destroyed everything' for them.
