    Coach Gun Project

I decided a while back that I needed a coach gun, because cowboy guns are just cool. I also decided that I didn't want some out-of-the-box, ready-made gun, because where's the fun in that? Besides, everyone and their grandma has a Stoeger coach gun, and I just need to be different.

So I picked up an old SxS from Trade Ex and set about with a hacksaw, some files and a drill to try my hand at making a sawed-off.

I videotaped the process for anyone who's interested. There is some NSFW language from my brother in part 1. It's pretty quiet, just want to give fair warning.

    Thanks for checking it out!

Hey, i meant to ask - after cutting down the barrels how'd it pattern? I was always told that if you just cut down the barrels they'll no longer be indexed properly and instead of shooting to close to the same point they'll shoot to very different points. Did you notice any problems with that?

Practical range on a coach gun is about 25 yards. With buckshot I am pretty sure the difference isnt that noticable. Wasnt on any of the ones I have built anyway.

I really didn't notice a difference in point of impact after cutting. Shooting on paper, the two barrels pattern right on top of each other. I didn't try slugs, but based on the patterns I saw, I wouldn't expect them to be too far off, if at all.
