Is that a scope, or a 1990's camcorder?

On the left? Looks like an FR F2 with a Safran-Sagem Sword Sniper

A British sniper from 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland is pictured (centre) with French snipers from 8th Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment - a unit of the French 11th Parachute Brigade. The two units have been taking part in a training exercise this week at the Otterburn Training Area in Northumberland as part of the continuing relationship between French and British Army units.

Drache, the FR-F1 and FR-F2 rifles have been around way before the FELIN system. Afew rifles even found their way to private owners here in Canada .
