    Told ya Mossberg was great...

Mossberg is even making barrels for the Remington 870!!

(look at the green label at the bottom of the box)

I'd rather make a difference than a dollar.

They have for a bit i think and at very reasonable prices too. I mean - 175 bucks for an 18.5 inch rem barrel? That's pretty good

Now if only they'd build a shotgun that would point for me.....

Nothing but respect for the 500 action (and others), but I may as well be swinging a bag of hammers. The 870 goes where I asks every time.....

Their shotguns will point for you just fine. Oh - you mean where you're aiming? Well - look who's mr 'fussy consumer' today!

I'm another whose body just likes Remington stocks. I own Brownings and Mossbergs, but I always do better with Remingtons.

$174.99 for just the barrel! I got the complete gun at Sears for $99.98(in 1972).

I must assume you're intentionally joking wit the date of your quote. Surely you don't expect 25c/gallon gasoline either.

To price your point, try to buy a Benelli barrel nowadays. You'll be lucky to spend $400 after s/h and tax.

That's around 600 bucks in today's money, so that's about right.

I should look and see if anyone makes left hand tubes for my 11-87... I'd like some more length, possibly. I expect the answer is either "no" or "$$$ - may as well buy a new gun"
