    I use my no.1 mk3 for hunting, unfortunately it has been sporterized. no pictures but have taken 2 bear and a deer with it. heres hoping it will put a moose, deer and maybe a bear in the freezer this year.

    Hello I shot my first deer with a 6.5 Jap, 2nd with a mod 95 spanish 7x57 mauser and then I went to a mod 98 Turkish Mauser that was mint,had it scoped,bolt turned down,sporter stock.
    Shot a lot of deer with that rifle. 303 brt sniper rifle my dad had.( Heavy,but could it shoot) mike

    I haven't used it but my 1903 springfield with .30-06 soft tips would probably be pretty ideal for out to 100-150 meters with irons I would think.

    Really, I would have no compunction about going for most game with either of my Enfields. I know they will do the job, quite effectively. Ultimately, the biggest reasons I went for the Tikka is the left hand bolt (I dont think Enfield ever made a leftie 303) and I want the flexibility to go big if I so wish; given Yukon laws.

    I brought my Mosin out deer hunting last year, didn't get anything though.
