    Has anybody used gog.com?

Looks like they’re adding a lot of recent “vintage” games. And not necessarily steam based...

I remember how blown away people were (including myself) when Pong came out.

And now we have games with graphics so good it takes a few moments to realize it isn't real.

FWIW my son loves gaming and had both types. He decided that rather than replace his Xbox with the latest that he’d build a gaming computer. He sold his Xbox and a Nintendo Switch he had to finance most of it. $1400 all in and he can play all his old Xbox games through Steam. So far he’s quite happy with his choice.

In spite of all of man's grandiose achievements, he owes his continued existence to six inches of topsoil and the fact that it rains.

Sounds like he will have a lot of fun! I don’t want to get in to computer gaming because I’ll be one of those guys that never stops updating it.

Nothing will ever replace a PC for gaming, it's the total reason computers are at the level they are, a 286 will do the math, but to get the graphics today's consumers demand, nothing will touch PC, ever, CGI rules imo
Quake and VooDoo graphics are to blame

I still remember my Pentium 233 MMX with an SLI Voodoo setup.... that was incredible at the time.
