    My Tula 55/56

So, here's one of my Russian examples. It is a light refurbished 55/56 Tula laminate. It was unissued and unfired (well, very few rounds) when I got it. It is one of weimajack's rifles.

    Nice clean, almost unmarked action.

Very clean, almost unmarked bolt face.

The prominent butt stock serial stamping. Pretty good wood on this one. Although there are a few "crate handling marks".

This example is a really good shooter. Consistently hitting 8 inch steel at 105 yards. The barrel is very nice with no frosting or pitting. The lands are nice and deep. I only shoot non-corrosive lead core copper jacketed ammo in all my SKS's.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Weimajack has some nice stuff. I got my post war TT33 with the Izzy grips through him, and my K31. Both real nice, though the K31 has the typical Swiss boot dings in the butt. I thought there was a third one, but I'll have to think on it....

I really should pick up one more nice SKS. My last one is set aside in cosmoline for my daughter, should she want it when she's old enough to shoot it. Another one would be set aside for mini mo #2 should he/she ever arrive.... Maybe I ought to buy one for the nephew too.....
