Yeah, you can apply for everything as far as I know. Maybe that varies by WMU?

    Okay, I'll try to explain.

First re the suppl. tags; the ones viewable at: http://www.mywildalberta.com/Hunting...s/Default.aspx are from last year(2011).

In the draw book: http://www.albertaregulations.ca/201...ting-Draws.pdf On the second page is the, "Draw Timetable". Note the 2012 undersubscribed tags are viewable on the 14th of Aug. If you are looking at last years suppl, you may want to note which tags didn't sell out last year. While it may not be a harbinger of tags to come, well, it's probably a good indicator.

Now, as far as species, if we go to the 2012 hunting regs; http://albertaregulations.ca/huntingregs/ Under, "Licencing and Costs" you'll find a table showing what licence combinations you may posses. Be certain to read all the footnotes as well, since while this table is a smorgasborg of opportunity, it's also an easy place to make mistakes if you don't read it over a couple times.

I hear people complaining about our draw system, but I suspect most complaints are merely due to a misunderstanding or misreading of the regs/drawbook. Very honestly, if you read both the draw book and our hunting regs cover to cover a few times you'll find it is well worth it, and having them both together allows you to check back and forth.

Hope that didn't sound like a dick, I'm really just trying to help. I'm no expert, but I know the regs and the drawbook. That being said, I Never go hunting without a copy of the regs with me. There's been a few times over the years where I was certain about something, but it was still nice to confirm. (like when can you shoot a wolf down here for example)

Forgot to mention, on page 14 of the draw book it tells you the rules about which tags you may apply for in a given year.

Also, if you go here: http://www.mywildalberta.com/Hunting...t/Default.aspx
You can see what priorities got drawn for whatever draw last year. Note on the left side of the page you can look back further. Makes it super easy to plan your draws and hunts if you're willing to spend the time researching all the options.

    Hope this info helps.
