the contest for inactive accounts and one post wonders. just my opinion but this needs to be changed.

"I don't have a firearms problem; they all work perfectly well." - Strike that. I do have a problem; the gov't has decided some are too dangerous to own.

bigger contests? not exactly sure where the money would come for this...
you guys seem to forget that these giveaways are completely funded by a small company, that then returns that back to the community via giveaways.
there is no exclusive contests for senior members, all members have an equal opportunity.
Welcome to GOC, Site for honest, hardworking Canadians, that own firearms.
There would be hundreds of useless posts then as people would just say anything to get their post count higher. I do not post a lot as a lot of what I would say has already been said by some one else or I do not know enough about the topic to add to it in any meaningful way but I am on here about three to four times a week and add my 2 cents on certain things.

I tend to be a reader and not a writer. Does this make me any less active just because I'm new to the sport and don't have a lot of knowledge to share? I take Polls and sign petitions, my post count is minimal, heck pretty sure this is my second post on this site. But I've spent a few years on this site reading everything I can. Posting doesn't make me any less active my friend.

No inactive accounts can win the contest, and we do have record of time spent logged into the site. That said, post count has nothing to do with activity levels. Not everyone can have a big mouth. Some read more than they talk, which is fine. Without their numbers the site wouldn't have as many sponsors, and we'd be giving away a new pair of boot laces instead of a 1911. And for that, they can enter too.....unless you'd really like a pair of new laces....
