As I said, you do you. I've had plenty of interactions with cops with your attitude it must have been at the receiving end . I've argued my way out of their stupid demands I would be very interested to hear the other side's description of the events give . It's often as simple as asking for their supervisor. I've also had interactions with conservation officers. Even with a gun in my hands, they didn't give me a hard time. SURE! YMMV

People can buy whatever they want. I have no reason to impress you. As I said, you do you. Continue supporting the slippery slope of civilian disarmament and power stripping cops. It's your prerogative.

Out today with the C14 in .338LM to do my first set of load tests for the new barrel. I had 5 charge weights of N-570 at .5gr increments. I found a node at 2844fps with the 300gr SMK bullet. The weather was warm and humid (22c & 80% RH). These tests were done at 201 yards.

Next trip…I’ll use .2gr increments and take it up to just below book max. Nice day. I ended up alone on the range when I was finished.

Firearms Use, and Non Use, During a Mass Shooting

While it is understandable that one wonders why, it is almost criminal that many fail to consider the real issue.

When an attack occurs, it is necessary to stop it rapidly to prevent loss of innocent lives.

That is best accomplished by deployment of a handgun by one or more of the individuals who are under attack.

Relying on the authorities to dispatch badges and guns to the scene guarantees that many bare handed defenders will be killed.

On average, 4-5 killed for every minute that passes without an armed response.

Failure to encourage armed self defence relegates the concern about why to Useless Virtue Signalling!
Gun Control is about making it unlawful for you to use, carry, or possess a firearm.

All restrictions/prohibitions on the use, carriage, or possession of firearms must be repealed.

    Middle ground?

    What middle ground?

Might put a leupold vx3-hd on my latest rifle, but I wish the line up had a slightly more power range. People love the 2.5-8x scope and the 4.5-14, but I'd like to see a 3-12 or 4-16 myself.

I'm in the same boat. I've been looking at Leupold (I like the two that I have), but I think I'm leaning toward Zeiss instead.

Did you try an Arken scope? Is the glass clear and is it worth the money?

From youtube videos, they seem a good deal for the money, but I haven't looked at one.
This scope will be going on a hunting rifle, and the arken just wouldn't fit the bill.

I just ordered some 30mm and 1" low talley rings for the rifle to keep my options open

Zeiss would no doubt be nice, I'm not ruling them out.

I just want quality fixed-power scopes for a couple things. A decent 4x or 10x could be half the weight and a third the cost for the same quality, and it would be brighter.
