    What's for dinner?

One of the family faves. Butter chicken with peas and onion on a bed of basmati rice. Goes well with a Red Stripe or two.

Left to our own devices tonight, the toddler and I are digging into some deer sausage, garlic mashed potatoes with chives and a little cucumber for greenery.

No pics but garlic chicken and roasted Cajun potatoes. Gotta love convection. The chicken crisped up perfectly but stayed juicy.
Finally getting back out to the range with my threesome:
Ruger Mark IV, CZ SP-01 Shadow, Ruger SP101.

Yes, I have more guns than my husband.

No pics, but handmade Chinese take-out. Yes, it does exist, you just have to look.

Seeing a thread called "What's for dinner" with "by road kill" under it gave me a good morning laugh. My dog is looking at me funny.

With the price of pork at two dollars a pound for loins, we made some peameal bacon last week. Pretty easy stuff to make. Trim the loins up, and brine for three or four days. Can smoke if you like, or roll in corn meal and refrigerate. Used the trim to make breakfast sausage.

That's right....moose sausage and taters baked on the grill with a pinch of Montreal steak spice on the cut sides after brushing with oil.
