    Lightbulb New Classification System

So, pretty much anybody who is pro-gun can and will agree that Canada's firearm classification needs a total remake. After reviewing comments I can agree that classifications are bullshit and should be wiped off the gun laws. We should be able to own anything we want, from AKs and supressors to 100 round drum mags. Restrictions won't do anything, because criminals don't respect the laws. They only punish the trustworthy citizen.

If you want to fight crimes, you have to fight fire with fire. Arm the population and your problem will be solved.

WE NEED TO STOP PRIORITIZING SAFETY OVER LIBERTY !!!

Anybody else agrees with me ?

By the way, firearms are not devices under the current system. Magazines an suppressors and other things that are not firearms may be prohibited devices. Not firearms, nor ammunition. Prohibited ammunition is another category of prohibited.

Prohibited must end. It serves only to disarm.

Restricted must end. It serves only to disarm.

Classification must end. You know why!

Gun ranges tend to be in the middle of nowhere with no police response,
and can't afford to hire security to guard that many guns nor insure them,
let alone what it would cost for safes etc,
so gangs would steal them en-mass.

Cleaning, and repairing, and re-configuring would be almost impossible.

So, such a suggestion would remove them as an available class, and sport.

[That's not my only complaint with the original post. Merely the one I thought I'd post about]

We really are our own worst enemy. At least half of all gun control initiatives appear (to this jaundiced owner) to have come from some well meaning nincompoop who is only trying to make our lives better.

    Yep.
    - A bunch of science based recommendations, mutated into criminal code with interpretations and scope creep by 1995 Liberals.
    - training is a good thing. It became an additional 6 month waiting period, and then the challenge was removed.

The rule of thumb became: Please stop giving Liberals ideas -- even when you're right, it'll become wrong.
To err is human, to really fowl things up takes a computer, but a computer has nothing compared to the whole sale destruction of a Liberal with a majority.
