Another great educational/ explainer video. Please share where you can. Better yet, become a member of the CCFR, donate some money, or volunteer with the organization. The more that help, the easier it will to enact all the various comments I read on the forums. At the end of the day, we are all firearm owners. If we will not take up the fight, no one will. Beyond that, we need to be committed to unity, for division is how we have been defeated in the past.

The problem with our laws is that they were designed by committee and modified extensively starting with the laws proposed by mulroney and kimmy gov'ts and then being 'one upped' by chretien's group. That lead to all kinds of questionable and almost contrary portions of the law. It's perfectly fine for me to own an 870 with a 12 inch barrel, but not ok for me to have the same gun with an 18 inch barrel reduced to 12 by a licensed gunsmith, even tho that would result in precisely the same firearm? And that such a conversion would be a criminal offense even tho i can buy one in the store like that?
17] The Crown disputes the appellant’s reliance on the argument that safety is not compromised by the appellant’s interpretation of the Regulations. The Crown submits that this Court has found that “risk” is not an essential element of the offence under s. 86(2) of contravening the Regulations, that charges under s. 86(2) require only that the Crown prove non-compliance with the Regulations, and that the manner of storage is entirely prescribed by statute rather than being judged by reasonable person standards of safety.
In other words - it doesn't HAVE to make sense, it's the law
