Longest Mile range from the air

I shot a video of the Longest Mile range outside of Edson Ab with the quadcopter. If you've ever wondered what it looks like from the air, here it is. Sorry about the video quality. I know it's a bit washed out. I had the exposure turned up too high trying to see the screen in the sun.

And a few misses at 1 mile. Watch for the dirt getting tossed up on the berm.

Very cool vids ; but a mile is a long ways to go to change targets .

That's why we shoot steel. We don't even have target holders to put up paper targets out that far. Just drive down and paint them once in a while. Most of the time we just watch for the steel to jump, or listen for the "clang" on the closer ones.

Well this is going to be the biggest shove to make me buy one of these. Never thought of using it to check/film targets/hits/misses.

So for a target a mile out, it would take roughly 2 seconds for the bullet to get there, and 5 seconds more to hear the hit, or a total of 7 seconds between bang and gong. I think you're saying a metal target doesn't make enough noise to be heard a mile back?

Do you have the Lat/Long for the range? I would like to find it on Google Maps.

Almost 3 seconds for a .338LM to reach the 1600m target.
