    Lots of overpriced guns.....lol

Know your retail values if there's something in particular you're seeking. Otherwise it's a great place to chill out, talk about guns and look at all the neat toys. Packing a case and a trigger lock if you're planning to buy isn't a terrible idea either....

A lot of junk, surprises, great people, it's just like a flea market. Except cooler.

The biggest downside is when they don't have adequate AC and it's a uncomfortably hot.

I go to the woodstock one every time. It's usually an excuse to go for breakfast somewhere. Over the years I've bought a handful of rifles and shotguns. But mostly I look for parts and oddball ammo I need. You will find the same guns on different sides of the room hundreds of dollars in difference......... and plan on being claustrophobic and wondering who the hell stinks so bad...lol

In Ontario one gun show is the same as any other. The Woodstock show is part of this group, http://ontariogunshows.com/. Usually the same dealers of the same stuff they travel from show to show. Any good deals are scooped up before the public arrives. Know your prices and be able to pick out the counterfeit junk sold by hucksters. Stay away from the surly old guys who overprice their wares and have no intention to haggle or even sell. They are there to get out for the day and gossip among themselves. (old boys club) As mentioned it is a flea market and sometimes you might just stumble onto a treasure.

Lots of really neat stuff, and some junk.
Some really good deals, and some prices will make you just scratch your head.
I've found them to be a good source for reloading equipment and supplies, if you have a good idea what it is, and what it's worth.

And for heaven's sake, if you're going to be in tight quarters with a thousand other people in a hot curling rink, bathe before you go.

Because there are always a few 'That Guys' at gunshows, for some reason.

Also, ask before you grab something off a table to have a look at.

I have got some good deals from gun shop dealers, not to many from private sellers. The shows I go to are a place to visit friends that have tables.

Bring cash if you are planning on buying stuff.

Went to my first one a few month back. The last Markham one. Can't disagree with any of the comments.

I picked up a scope and a laser sight. Scope was a cheap one that I could have gotten similar one for same price lots of different places. The laser was crappy one I played around with a few times and left in my safe.

It was nice to look around. I recommend everyone go at least once just for the experience.

Haha. This is exactly what I was going to post. I don't run into stinky guys at the range but gun shows LOL! It's like they were too excited to shower before leaving the house.
