2 part epoxy may be your friend there. Mix some black india ink in with it so it color matches. That is how I have repaired dozens of antique revolver grips and rifle butt plates.
Mask it to build a well for the epoxy then shape it after its cured.

I would try it, but my uncle swinged by so I gave him the guns back

I don't even remember this 410 model.
