Additional Bays Now Open at CHAS

Our long range (200, 300, 500, and 800 meter) bay is now approved by the CFO and open, as well as our new 25 meter pistol bay. They are in addition to our 15/50 meter bay, 100 meter bay, shotgun area, and archery area. Videos of the new bays are available on the CHAS Facebook page.

Not according to what is posted on the CHAS website. I am hoping this is just an oversite as the re-opening of the ranges is quite recent.
Can anyone answer as to whether 20mm is ok as it was in the past or a no-no now?

Assuming that the range is indeed 50 BMG friendly again it would sure be nice to host another 50 cal fun shoot.

Rick, Steve told me it was approved. There are already a couple of videos posted on the facebook page of the 50's being fired on the first day it reopened. Steve actually wanted me to open the range with my 50. But....we both know it wasn't ready for that.

But I'm just so pleased that I can do my load development just 40 minutes from my door. Instead of 2-1/2 hours.

CHAS just needs to update their website is where I was going with that.

I have to agree Rick. But that being said, the first priority was to get the range open. They can worry about updating the web-site later. In fact the overhead video, I believe, is outdated.

Oh well, the AGM is upcoming. Maybe I'll mention it there.

As far as 20mm goes...I have no idea.

I an certain that the executive has more than had their hands full simply getting the range re-opened and kudo's to them.

I think bringing it up would be a good idea just in case some member or worse goes by what the website says. Unfortunately today there are too many people that think being a range nazi is cool.
If you wouldn't mind asking about 20mm that would be great. the range used to be templated for 20mm. Be nice to have someplace to play with my bigger toys.

Yep, I already messaged Steve about the 20mm and the .50 fun shoot.
