    Ribs a plenty

So I thawed out 7 lbs of bear ribs and 4 lbs of moose ribs to see if there was a difference between the two.
7 hours in the 7 quart slow cooker. Beef bullion cubes, garlic, salt and pepper was all that was added. At 4;30 pm I took the ribs out and gave them a bath in a mixture of rib sauce and bbq sauce. Lite bath for the half that I don't eat. Then I put them on a cookies sheet in the oven for almost an hour at 200 degrees. This dries them a bit and thickens the sauce. Well I like the new rib recipe. Add a stove top baked potato and I ate till I couldn't eat anymore. Bear is more tender than the moose. Cut it with a fork. See pics.

I have always wanted to try bear ribs. A bear fed on salmon and berries is very good eating, well done!

Yeah...cheese...sure. There is healthy cheese 'flavor' in them. It comes from 'salt and other additives' cows. Theyre a thing, right ???

Bears around here that I shoot don't eat fish. The big old bears claim the river fish catching spots. The young ones stay in the hills or get eaten at the river. Mountain grass and berry bear is the best. 3 or 4 year old. I went through 28 bear roasts in 1 year.

The only bear I've ever shot was living large in an oat field.
    That was some good eating.
Why does the rest of the country get first dibbs on half my income?
