    Cool It has arrived!

A box containing my Blackfeather RS was sitting
on my front porch when I returned home today.

I'll open the box for inspection after this post, but I'm
super busy right now so my 16.25" build will happen slowly.

Very interested in how this goes, especially at the range. Keep us posted.

I may remove the spacer and cheek riser, but other than that my CQB-16-BFRS is complete.

EDIT: This rifle is not complete just yet, I have the new M14.CA railed hand guard on the way
and plan to remove the CASM and move the M4 out in front of the receiver and low on the rail.

    It shoots great!

This SEI barreled action had been in a few different stocks
before I put it in the RS and it has shot great in all of them.
The RS has given me more of what I like in a lighter package.

So the stock didn't really contribute to mechanical accuracy, but really helped with personal accuracy? (Does that make sense? Maybe I'll say it this way: The heft, weight distribution and comfort of the stock contributed to faster target aquisition and a steadier/easier hold?)

Looks good! What's at the front of the forend? Is that a light? Tailcap activation?

The BF RS didn't hurt accuracy, it's as good as it was in the SAGE EBR. The near perfect balance does help with speed and stability.

Thanks. Yes, it's a Scout light that I activate by pressing the tailcap.
