    Best night vison scope

I about to buy a new night vision scope for my Ar. What is the best one for the price. Also I was about to consider to buy helmet mounted mono or bino and a regular scope. What's my better option ?

What models sold in Canada have you looked at?
    What kind of price range?

    It's expensive, but worth it.

An atn x-sight is likely a good start. No experience, but the rat hunters on youtube seem to like em.

I can tell you from experience that night vision combined with a conventional scope would not be my preferred option. Go with a dedicated nightvision scope.

Initially investigate if you likely want photo-multiplier or infrared technology.

Do you need to see through glass? If so you need photo-multiplier.
Will you want to use the scope in a non-dark situation? If so you need infrared.

As mentioned the ATN x-sight (visible light with fallback to infrared) is a good (but a bit heavy) option for many situations.
Go with the highest optical zoom (5x) model since what you actually have is a tiny TV screen attached to a visible/IR camera behind a germanium lens. (IR energy is blocked by silicone (regular) glass or plastic so IR cameras/scopes use germanium lenses).

I looked into this a while back, but never pursued it. The one thing I remember was that you want thermal imaging, not light amplification.

"...night vision scope for my AR..." Other than because you want one(a very good reason to buy anything), what are you planning on using it for? Don't believe there are any shooting clubs anywhere in Canada that are open at night. And you can't hunt with an AR.
"...for the price..." For what budget?
Helmet mounted IR(actually any IR) can give you a raging headache. IR is just like that. Doesn't take long to get disoriented with IR either.
"...use the scope in a non-dark situation..." IR is for complete darkness. Burns out with added light.
"...rat hunters on YouTube..." Aren't from around here.
