    Why Do I Bother?

This may seem strange to you, but it is simply because my neighbour’s rights are violated by every firearms law and regulation.

Unlike you, my neighbour does not have access to a firearm with which she may defend her life, liberty, or property.

If I do not advocate for her, I cannot consider myself to be a free man.

Does my advocacy positively affect your ability to enjoy your hobby?

    Perhaps.

    Do I care?

    Not particularly.

In any event, my neighbour’s rights trump your enjoyment - every time!

“She” is young, old, single, married, widowed, divorced, and male as well as female.

Based solely on my experience, she is one of approximately 5 million adults in Canada who would have access to firearms were they not prevented by law, regulation, and the BS idea that “to protect life is not a legitimate reason to have a gun in Canada.”

And, while I sympathize with those among us who have had their guns banned, my heart breaks every time someone who is unarmed by government fiat is victimized by a vicious armed criminal.

"All it takes for evil to win is for good people to do nothing."

It's why the anti's are chipping away at us. It's why the government is using us as a scapegoat. Too few of us stand up and remind them of their place.

I hope that your advocacy will affect my ability to own guns in a good way. I'd love to be able to open carry. I'd love to be able to pull the rivets from my magazines and never need to worry about so-called "high capacity magazine laws". I'd love to be able to take my AR outside and go put holes in pop cans in the woods. I'd love to own an AK.

Has your neighbour asked for you to advocate for her? Has it occurred to you that your brand of advocacy might be offensive to her and that your interpretation of her "rights" is at odds with her own views?

Did we ask anyone to advocate against us? Does their advocacy offend me and impair my ability to buy, use and enjoy my firearms? Do they give a f _ _ _?

Heard of respect? If the woman does not want or did not ask for her "rights" to be advocated by her neighbour then said neighbour has no business advocating on her behalf.

"...defend her life, liberty, or property..." Which if she did would result in her being arrested and charged with a slew of Criminal Code offences. Defending against said charges will cost in high 5 figures if not 6. And take several years.
And it's not her rights. Nobody in Canada, including your neighbour, has any right to own property of any kind. Never mind defend it.
