My fiance has expressed he wants not to be added onto the application form as he has no interest in purchasing or even having my guns in the house. as we live in two separated homes due to work Im curious if this is something I still will need to disclose? he is very admit on this. No criminal back ground or history of mental illness. Just a very private man and wishes to keep this part of our life separate. I don't wish to lie on my application but I also don't wish to break his confidentiality as we are not married and not common law either due to the living situation.

They're not going to run a criminal check on your fiance, They're just want to know that a person's significant other is aware of the want to acquire firearms by the applicant.

If they follow up on this all the CFO office is going to do is call him and ask if he's OK with you getting your PAL.

You're not married, and you're currently not living together, I don't see why he needs to put anything on the form.

... somebody should take the time to actually read what the law says in regards to PAL apps and ex/current conjugal partners. You’ll find a lot of info in the online app package downloadable from the RCMP website.

On the actual PAL/RPAL application form it defines as:

Conjugal partner includes spouses and common law partners and all
other persons with whom you live or have lived in a similar relationship
    within the last 2 years.

A spouse is a person to whom you are legally married. A common-law
partner is a person who is cohabiting with you in a conjugal
relationship, having so cohabited for a period of at least one year

So you are going to get married, and live in separate homes for your rest of your life? Someday you will live together and if you bring guns into the house without telling her and she already expressed her dislike. I can see the cops being called and a domestic disturbance. Not only won't you have guns, you'll have a criminal record, and 1/2 your stuff.

You’re in Canada which has a matriarchal social hierarchy.
In other words the chicks rule the roost.
Why? In a nutshell because most Canuck males are short a couple of acorns.
