    What Is Bill C-71?

Draft legislation proposed by the government of Canada on March 20, 2018.
Aimed at more than 2 million men and women with a federal firearm Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL).
Would increase firearm confiscations, increase tracking of licence holders, and increase restrictions to get or keep a licence and to buy, sell or transport firearms.

Toronto council wants Ottawa to ban sale of handguns within city limits

Council voted for a number of measures Tuesday evening to combat rise in gun violence

Toronto will ask Ottawa to ban the sale of handguns within city limits, days after a teen and a young girl were killed in a mass shooting on a bustling street in Greektown.

City council was already scheduled to vote on a series of gun-related initiatives Tuesday night, but the issue took on a new urgency after the shooting on Danforth Avenue claimed the lives of 10-year-old Julianna Kozis of Markham, Ont., and 18-year-old Reese Fallon of Toronto. Thirteen others were injured.

    Gun Control is People Control

People have the natural right to defend themselves from predators, foreign and domestic, private and public. That is why the Second Amendment was written, by people far wiser than most of us, whose mettle was tested far more. Contrary to some opinions, this protection is not out of date.

We keep reading in the largely controlled “MainSteam Media” that there is an “epidemic” of gun violence, in schools (the problem seems to be public schools), in public places. The MSM and shadowy organizations have actively promoted and hyped this false narrative.

    Gun Control?
”We need to just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.”– Eric Holder former U.S Attorney General (2009-2015)

Let me first start off by saying: I am in no way a ‘gun nut’. I do not now, nor have I ever, owned a firearm of any kind. If there was some way we could eliminate guns altogether, FROM EVERYBODY, go back to hunting with more primitive tools and fighting our battles, if absolutely necessary, with swords and spears, I would be the first one in line to endorse such an idea. But the fact is, guns do exist, and once they have been invented there is no way of getting the genie back into the bottle. Yes, this goes for the much-maligned ‘assault rifle’ as well.

Dan Bongino: Gun Laws Only Affect Law Abiding People

During an interview with Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson, Bongino pointed out the radical difference gun laws have with other laws on the books.

“This is what people have to understand, get this through your heads and never forget it,” Bongino started. “There are two parallel tracks for gun owners — for liberals, let’s do this slow, here’s one, here’s two.”

“On the first track you have legal gun owners: you have to go through a legal background check, fill out a 4473, you can’t be a prohibited possessor,” he explained. “Then you have track number two: people who steal them and buy them on the black market.”

thread's title is misleading.there's no official mention of a handgun ban in there.

and those lines-statements .....ridiculous. i'd rather get killed by a gun than by a sword or any blade for that matter. returning the the blood bath butchering era, certainly isn't wishable ...and i'm sure most people in the knowleadge would also prefer getting off'ed by firearms than by edged weapons.....this proves the writter is only doin blahblahblah right there,at least in the part of the article ; sub zero credibility,at the opposite , total debility, excepting the sarcastic factor that could have slipped in there.

track # 3 the more you try to ban or prohibit said objects the greater the demand on the black market becomes which will increase what they are worth which encourages more criminals to steal ,sell and bring them in ..... not unlike drugs but this is simple black market economics to every one but Liberals
