Wonderful, they get exiled from the band lands because of their criminal behavior and now we are expected to deal with them. Then when we try, they whine that they are native and get a lighter sentence because of that. That is just so screwed. I think they should be returned to their band and the band forced to deal with them....not "our" people, shouldn't be "our" problem. Your people.....your problem.

Thing lhat pisses me off most about this is after weeks of calling the opposition (specifically the CPC) ambulance chasers and accusung them of using Tori Stafford's murder for partisan political gain, the scumbag Liberals are trying to act like hero's for her being sent back to jail.

And in the Corrections Canada statement I read, it said somethin like she was sent back to jail at the order of the Minister or at the disgression of the Minister or something to that affect.

Ralphie claimed for weeks he had no power to reverse the transfer to the healing lodge. Yet another Liberal lie.

what i think is stupid about this is that even though they were the ones to send her, they're now changing their minds and not sending her, acting like it's the right thing to do when it was their idea to do it to begin with.horrible judgement. never mind that they're still going to send people to these "healing lodges" anyway....wtf

Inmate escapes from healing lodge near Maple Creek, Sask.

    Maple Creek, Saskatchewan
    November 9 2018

A woman serving time for an impaired driving death conviction has escaped from a Saskatchewan healing lodge.
Correctional Service of Canada said Joely Lambourn, 45, was not accounted for during a head count on Nov. 9 at the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge near Maple Creek.

She is currently serving a two year, six month sentence for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and being unlawfully at large.

A cyclist was killed near Okotoks, Alta., in May 2015 after being struck by the vehicle Lambourn was driving.

Lambourn is five-foot-two, 126 pounds with a fair complexion, brown eyes and hair.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lambourn is asked to contact their local police detachment.

Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge is a multi-level security federal institution.

It was recently in the news after convicted child killer Terri-Lynne McClintic was transferred to the facility. She has since been moved back to a women’s prison.
