I tried the Springer Precision mount and recently changed to the Henning mount. While I used shims to snug up the Springer and had no issues with it coming loose after about 8k rounds others have had issue with that. The Henning mount is so tight in the dovetail I can't imagine it ever moving even if the mount screws back off as I had to drift that sucker in with a serious amount of effort. As for dots a lot of it is personal experience and here is mine. I started with a Vortex Viper and it worked well but I found the window very small and being new to dots I struggled to find the dot a lot. Then tried a DeltaPoint Pro and really liked it with the bigger window but I have a bit of astigmatism and for what ever reason with the DPP I saw a kidney shaped flair instead of a dot. I am now running an FTP Alpha optic ( http://fasttoys.net/ca/FTP-Optics-Al...-Reflex-Sight/ ) and love it, big window easy to adjust brightness and a nice crisp dot.

    Appreciate that feedback.

Where did you get the Henning?

Is the Optics Ready Shadow 2 available in Canada yet?
I don't have a firearms problem; they all work perfectly well.

Nope, last info I had from one of the distributors was to be manufactured in November so I would guess early 2019 we will see the first ones hit our stores.

I was looking at different red dots at a recent IPSC match . Sure is a bunch of options.

Anyone have comments on the durability of the Burris red dot?

Bought a used one and it had no screws to mount a viper to the base, what size of screws and where do I get them?

Red dot had two sets but we're not the right size

Take the plate to hardware store. I want to say M4x0.7 since seems to be common.

I ended up going with a leupold delta point mount and a Shield RMS. Lowest setting without milling the slide.

Already pushed the mount on the gun and that was a real chore that I do not want redo!

Smaller than an M4 and M3 threads are different( finer).

    Appreciate the feedback though!
