    Lithgow arms

I bought a sporterized 1943 Lithgow a few years back, -would love to get some wood for it,- It is a very nice rifle. Recently I went to the arms factory at lithgow- Here are some pics- Very interesting museum in a pretty little town.

Here in Ontario we had the Long Branch Small Arms plant. It's gone now except for one building. In true GTA form, it has been 99% scrubbed of its commitment to the war effort.

Lithgow were making SMLE's up until 1957 when they then got into making L1A1's!
