Since 1982, there have been more than 60 mass murders carried out with firearms across the US, with killings unfolding in 30 states from Massachusetts to Hawaii. In most cases, the killers had obtained their weapons legally (Source: Washington Post)

Only 60? Yes these are very, very tragic events, which often times could have been prevented if a responsible Law abiding gun CCW owner was present and able to react and stop the criminal in his tracks( like the recent texas church attack). The van and vehicle attacks are often harder to stop, and they are becoming more popular with the attackers as politicians feeblely attempt to appear to be "doing something" and are restricting access to firearms in many countries. Funny enough Australia has had more than its' share of mass attacks since the "steal back" of firearms there, although the main stream media certainly tries to hide that truth as it does not fit the "Gun Nuts are Evil" narrative.- The media seems to focus on the device (guns for some cases) and not the operator (always a criminal maniac)- and of course to approach any kind of solution, the focus should be on the cause, not a easily demonized scapegoat. It seems as it were that when a mad man does something bad with a gun, politicians punish everyone who didn't do it.
