Can we even buy 80% Glock (or any type) lowers here?

I mean the RCMP declared 80% AR lowers to be prohibited (on the grounds they could be easily made into fully automatic rifles).

That is a 100% finished lower. I think the OP question should have read, 'to those who have built a Glock using a 80% receiver, how were the results and was it a worthwhile purchase?' Maybe in his country they are not hobbled by nonsensical laws.

From watching the on-line reviews, they look promising for reliability. Might not be financially feasible for some but what the hey, give it a go.

That is blind idiocy. An 80% lower is banned cause it could be converted to FA but a fully functional lower is OK because it can't be converted even more easily to FA? Who comes up with this garbage?

The truth is the RCMP have decided, outside of the law, that 80% lowers present an opportunity for unregistered restricted firearms and they just needed an excuse to ban them.

A guy made an AR lower from a cutting board. AR lowers have been made from wood and bits of aluminum plate bolted together and they can also be 3D printed on an inexpensive home machine. The RCMP are gonna need to ban a whole lot more stuff if they are gonna use the 80% lowers argument.

And I haven't even gotten on to the topic of prohibited devices, which can be made inside of 10 minutes from a six-pack of soda bottles and a roll of tape. Or even quicker with a single soda bottle and a can of shaving cream.

Banning stuff is both pointless and ridiculous because people will always find a way around a ban if they really want to.

We don't play much with 80% stuff in Canada, the ones we can get are registered and restricted, so not much incentive to buy them.

Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies. - H.L. Mencken

Given the exceptional work you’ve shared with us to date, I’m pretty sure you’d do well with an unfinished lower.

I think its time we cleared up a misconception about unfinished lowers. I've never seen an 80% finished lower. Theres no such thing on the market right now. There are however, 79% lowers all over the place.....and that's my story your honor, and I'm sticking to it.
